Thanked: 84Barbershop shave
I went with my father to get a barbershave for my birthday today.
It was a great gift, and it made it even better because that was his first one ever.
It was a pretty good shave, a little irritation, very relaxing though.
We went to the clubhouse barber shop in edmond, OK.
Anyone around here might check them out.

Thanked: 1195Glad your shave was enjoyable. Did the barber use a shavette?
Unfortunately, my barber shaves have not been so pleasant, full of cuts and large amounts of irritation. I can give myself a better straight shave, so I don't bother anymore.

Thanked: 84Yeah, he used a shavette.
From what I have read they have to by law for sanitation reasons.
I might ask next time if I bring my razor in if they will use it.... hmm.
And I'm sorry to hear about your experiences with barbershop shaves.
I wish that it was still something that barbers had to learn in school and would really care about it...
