    Default New guy.

    Hello all,

mgraepel has gotten me intrigued in the idea of a straight edge, and after years of painful disposable razors, I'm pretty eager for an alternative.

Just thought I'd introduce myself and give a heads up that I'm in the market for something to start me out with, and let you know that I'll be browsing around for the time being.

    See ya later.

    Smile Welcome The Seeker

Good to have you here. There's certainly a lot of great retailers in the Links and good information to be found in the Help Files. I found the Permanent Archives integral to my understanding of this art when I first arrived. When what you read there makes you wonder, you can use the Search function in the Forums here to help you focus that. If you can't find the answers you're looking for there, feel free to ask. Between us we've got more answers than one man can properly use. Most of all enjoy yourself. It's a great world of straight blades to discover.

Glad to see you here. I pointed him to this homemade strop already, but do any of you have any suggestions on what kind of leather he should be using? I'm thinking wallet grade, but I forget what grain that is.

Maybe ask Tony if he has a piece of his seconds somewhere around his house for a budget strop...
