Solingen or Sheffield???
Which is better???
My straight razor is a Sheffield's Geo Wostenholm & Son's "Pipe", vintage but good condition(i think), please see photos, I have a Solingen's "Koken Barber's & Co" too...
I purchased an apparently very old(or very bad cared) Sheffield's "Joseph Rodgers & Son's" via Ebay, that still didn't arrives, but the edge looks fine in photos and guy's description...
Please tell me your opinions about these razors I purchased!!!Last edited by pazuzu107; 04-17-2006 at 05:17 PM.

Which is better? I would say they would be equal.
Both are very good.
I will leave the razors to the more qualified gents
of the forum.

Pazuzu, they are both very priced regions of razor and cutlery making. You won't go wrong with either of them...
Is that a Seiko 5 under the scorpion??

I couldn't decide between the two so I got both.
I didn't vote because I can't decide either. Both are so good that it comes down to the manufacturer and the individual razor. There's no reason why both those razors shouldn't be great choices.

I like Solingen razors a lot, but all my best shavers are Sheffield, although I might have to add a Manchester razor I got in recently.
