Default WOW!!! Bargain!!!!!!!!!!! Joseph Rodgers' for £ 0.99!!!

Today I'm very happy, I won a bargain on Ebay!!!!!

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWA%3AIT&rd=1

Ok, this Joseph Rodgers' razor is a bit rusted, but It's easy to clean it and give a new polish and finish, and the edge seems great in photos, also the box is in very good condition!!!!

Next days I will post a thread with my work and photos on restoring a handle broken old Solingen razor with a new horn handle and pivots... Surely cleaning this Rodgers' rust is very easier than making a new handle and pivots

Worth the cash as long as you don't get raped for shipping. It looks like nobody took good care of it, but once you clear the rust, you may be able to hone the edge properly with a good amount of elbow-grease. Good luck and keep us posted.

But the seller seems to be honest, he specified shipping to UK at £ 2.50, to Brazil is generally 2 times more, but even so he charges me at £ 20.00 for shipping(that I doubt it), still will be worthwhile for me, because a razor like this, even inferior quality, costs more than USD$ 150.00 in my country

Wow. Talk about pricey. You might as well order a brand spankin' new TI from classicshaving.com. It will cost you about the same but you'd get a premium quality product, never used.

Don't get me wrong, both of my razors are ebay antiques (a Taylor's Eye Witness and a DD Satinedge). I'm just saying that when you start getting into the $150 price range, unless you're a collector, you want a brand spankin' new shaver. However, I'd be tempted to approach it for a mint W&B if I had the $$$ to blow.

It's VERY difficult to find in Brazil someone that uses a straight razor instead a safety or eletric, also very difficult to find a classic barber shop that still shave with straight razors, ordinary barbers start laughing when I tell I shave with straight razors!!! so, selling razors in Brazil is a very bad business!!!

Don't worry, I will post a lot of before and after photos on restoration thread!!!

That's probably true globally... My friends think I might be crazy. One of them (after watching me hone the Satinedge) was convinced of it. Still, there is a number of us crazies around
