Straight Razor Painting
This is a weird topic. Sorry.
I have a little 8x10 canvas and some oil paints, and for the last little while I've been trying to think of a subject. Then it hit me -- straight razors! Something to hang in the bathroom, maybe.
As for the composition, I'm open to suggestions. It's a small canvas, so I was thinking about doing a brush sitting beside an open straight razor -- maybe the razor resting on a towel? Foamy lather atop the brush?
I could take the gruesome route and add a little blood on the towel? No... best to keep it a classy piece.
Maybe a bowl of water like an old time shave?
Any ideas?

Check out some of the pictures in the gallery...particularly Vlad's. He's got a knack for composition. A painted reproduction of one of his photograps (like the Shave of the Day pictures) would be a really nice thing to put in a bathroom. Just my $.02.

Yeah, I had been looking at some of those pictures to use as a model. Lots to choose from!

Boy that sounds like a great idea. Make sure you photograph it so we can see how it turned out..

Blade,
Keep it simple, especially on that small of a canvas. Why not design your "dream" razor in the painting. And let us know when you are done.
Off topic...I couldn't view Vlad's gallery, says I'm not authorized.
