    Default Thiers-Issard Razors

Is there a difference between the "Eagle" brand that Knifecenter sells and the "Sheep and Wolf" ones ClassicShaving sells? Different steels, not lead hardened, etc.? Knifecenter has a pretty good price on the worked back Eagle 6/8.

The razors are the same just different branding. Thiers Issard tries not to have dealers duplicating items within a market so USA dealers get differently branded razors so they each have a unique product. Many times handle materials will vary from dealer to dealer as well. On TI limited razors though (leaf and vine, covered tang, etc...) this does not always apply.

Oddly though the leaf and vine razor always seem to have issues with the fit of the scales and the white spacer at the end. I looked at several from Knife Center and all had a small open seam there. It looks as if the blade flexes the scales apart when you open and close the razor. I bought a used Leaf and Vine on eBay and it too had a similar problem.

No big deal but don't be surprised by it either.
