Thanked: 28A modified x stroke works perfectly on a narrow strop 2" or less...until I purchased a 3" from tony miller thats how I stroped all my razors...the x stroke is less exagerated only enough to keep the blade on the strop thru most of the lap...

The Loom type strops are nice but not many choices on the market. The Maestros are the Rolls Royce of looms and there are Jemico's as well bt all tend to be a little short. Now a 2" wide x 10" to 12" long leather surface would be a nice touch.
