Thread: Don't know if I should be angry

Went out for the night and left my wife to watch...first time on ebay for her and she may have got carried away...opinions on the set welcome.

Slightly anxious on the hairline crack as per description.

Hmm...Its hard to say until you see them in person but for a total price of around $63.00 USD (if my conversion is correct), I cant imagine you could have done THAT bad. Even if you only get one shaver and three project razors (not to mention a neat box) you did ok.

As you say,until they arrive cannot tell. The pics look ok but I know that can be deceptive. Box looks in good condition.

If you don't like 'em, I'll make you a helluva deal on 'em.

Wait a sec! YOU went out while your wife sat on Ebay to buy you straight razors and you don't know if you should be angry?

You can send her over to my house if you'd like . . .

They could be rusted straight through and I'd still be one happy clam!

If this is a good buy...it will cost me a lot more than this I can feel a new outfit coming and it aint for me. If it turns out to be poor at least I can blame her !

What do you think of the razors themself...size.shape etc...maybe need a lot of work looking at the single blade picture.

If this turns out to be worthwhile....possibility my daughter will be checking ebay....this could cost me plenty.

I've got a feeling you may want to leave your wife in more often - you cannot go out for a night on 35 quid, you want your bumps feeling, she's a winner .

Your wife is a keeper. My girlfriend won't let me go out alone, and I can only imagine what it would be like if I married her. The razors look like they'll need minimal work. I think she did good.

Those razors look pretty nice. The fact that you got 4 razors for under $100 is great deal in my opinion. Even if you have to re-scale one or more of them, you're still making out pretty well.

Considering their age and the fact that they're in a set, I suspect these are very high quality razors. These sorts of sets were often owned by the well-to-do of the time and I wouldn't be surprised if the scales are real ivory. The light staining on the shank and tang should be able to be buffed out.
