    Default new find :)

this weekend was spent searchin antique malls n such for old shaving stuff. didnt find much, just overpriced broken junk. i did find a dubl duck dwarf tho, nice shape too. whats the deal with these, seems theyre more sought after? good shaver, rare, quality, what is it that makes people want em? paid $24 for it, doesnt look like its had a hard life. ill post up a pic later.....

    Thumbs up

Micah, the hype and sale prices are due to the talk here about Dubl Ducks. I'm guilty of that. I just bought the same razor shave-ready for around $70 on eBay.

    Nice deal you got.

I guess I can chalk it up to newbie luck, I just got three Dubl Ducks, a red dot and one other razor off ebay for 61 bucks for the whole lot. They have arrived at home and when I talked to the wife today and had her open the package and check them she reported no rust or visable nicks on any of the blades.

Congrats on getting the dwarf. A Dbl Duck Dwarf was the first decent straight that I bought back in the mid '70s. Still have it & use it. Had the spike point ground to a round over 20 yrs ago & much prefer it that way. Seems the times I did nick myself, it was the point that was the problem.

ya, it is. thats why i picked it up. there was also a red point(?) razor, but it had a broken handle, and was 10 bucks more i like the old razors with inlayed handles ect.. the only problem is that the blade is a lil loose, and will hit the side if not closed straight, but its ok.

    Micah,

That Dubl Duck should clean up real nice. You've put together a great collection.
