Big Proctor and Gamble price increase
I was at the grocery store and needed a little laugh so I computed the price per blade those poor suckers are paying and I found something interesting. Proctor and Gamble has boosted prices a lot since the introduction of the ProGlide from $3.75 each to $4.50 that I am seeing in my local Safeway. Imagine that $4.50 for a hunk of plastic. The ProGlide was a stroke of genius, a thinner blade so that P&G puts in less metal per blade and cuts the manufacturing costs up to 50% and raises prices a lot, seems like a suckers market. And thinner blade, double edges have shown that thinner does not necessarily equal better.
