Cool Video... My wife wouldn't watch it for long. She got squeamish

Yeah I was wiping the blade between my thumb and index finger and cut into my thumb before I even knew it. No blood but it has a nice wedge shape missing now.

I have to say I have more respect then ever for women after watching that video. I do not think I could balance with one leg up on the sink like that for an extended period of time, and if I did holding a straight razor to my leg would be the last thing I'd wanna do. I'll stick to shaving the face with both feet firmly on the ground thankyou. I do agree finger near a blade scares me, I almost cut myself wiping oil off one of my straights not 10 mins ago. Congrats on the video!!

Just to add to the whole finger blade thing, why wouldn't just rinse the blade under running water? Since you had to rinse that finger anyway. I didn't watch the whole video, it just didn't seem right, to me, to watch a lady shave her legs...Sorry.

Well thanks everybody for viewing my first horrible video. Thanks for all the comments and pointers.
So I am going to clear the ever clear "hey not a good idea to wipe with the fingers there missy." There is a bit of a story behind that. When I first started I read did reread redid my homework some things were clear others weren't. Some things I asked some I didn't. I read somewhere don't rinse your blade so that was confusing so I used my fingers. Then I read don't use hot water use a rag okay but by then it was a habit to use my finger. Then I found it was okay to use cold water. So I am trying to break the finger habit but its not so easy.
Next video I will show how I do it cause I really don't touch the edge to much every now and then I get close. Another thing although I see the danger those fingers I use the skin I don't know messed up from work. Thanks everybody and for the pointers.

Well thanks. I'd like to clear I usually pretty much never shave like that. I'm usually on the floor. But for a quick shave I might. lol feet on the floor lol. Well I went to antique store today and found a rolls razor anyway something caught my finger lets just say my finger doesn't look to pretty.

Ahh sorry to hear for your wife don't worry I know a few in my household male include can't bear to see it. I can't do two fingers together to wipe just one sometimes two where the lather is at. Thanks for watching.

Nice video! And nice Legs! Not many of us can shave with a straight while standing on one leg! Wow! Perhaps now I can shave my wifes legs.

I saw in one vid the guy was wiping the lather off on the back of his hand. I tried that, but it just felt wrong. Now I keep a washcloth on the edge of the sink, and use that.
