Happy Mother's Day (To Me:D)
I got a second chance offer on this batch, and just couldn't pass it up. To me, just the first two are worth what I paid.

Joe,
That's a very nice group of razors. I really like the Bismarck. The inscription on the blade of the Puma, Für Extra Starken Bard means, for an extra heavy beard. I wonder if that razor has a special grind or perhaps a different hardness because it was meant for a heavy beard. Hopefully someone knows. I've never seen that inscription on a straight before.

Yeah. I just couldn't pass it up. Keep those pictures in mind, because I'm going to post pix in my gallery after I've got 'em restored. I figure the Puma by itself is worth what I paid for the whole group, especially after restoration, and a Bismarck is one of the best shavers I own. I'm interested in seeing how that Quo Vadis cleans up. It's a beautiful razor, IMO. I may even give the Lead a try, if I can find the right kind of blades to put in it. I've gotten my honing skills up now, and have been able to hone all my razors to give great, smooth shaves. Hopefully, I'll be able to get these up to par, too. Lots of folks swear by Pumas, and I know from personal experience the Bismarcks are great.

That is how my barber shaves with a snapped DE blade, and it does work very well.
BTW, Joe...wasnt the whole point lately to stop buying razors? I think Joe needs someone to take his paypal account away!

Joe,
I hear you on that. Take a look at this one I got it for $40 its a 7/8 Rudolf Schmidt. It appears never to have been used

That one's a beaut, Rich. You won't even have to restore it. One of these days I'm going to figure out how to post thumbnails in the forum. I can upload pix to my gallery, but I can't get them on here. It says "file too big"
