    Default Dovo/DoubleDuck?

I picked up a razor recently. On the blade it say "DOVO Special" and on one side of the tang it says "DoubleDuck Dwarf" and on the other side "PearlDuck". Was this a left over Double Duck blank that got used by Dovo? Just curious as I don't know much about DD's history, and I didn't see anything about it while scanning through the forums. If this has been discussed, ignore me.

Reminds me of an old car I had, a Plymouth volare but on the other side of the car it said Dodge Aspen.

We know DDs were made in germany and they probably sourced their razors from one or more venders there. I guess in your case they used Dovo for their blades.

    Default Fascinating

The Ducks look like they were absorbed by DOVO along with a few other brands in and around the sixties, just as Dubl Ducks absorbed some Lifetime and Puma razors. It's a fascinating evolution.

DOVO used to make razors for DD on contract for some time... That figures why I like my DOVO's so much
