Thanked: 369Been there, done that
Haven't cut my face like that in a long time, but know how it feels. And...
The other day I was stropping a new (old Boker, new for me) on my vintage Dubl Duck Shell strop. The razor flipped while going back up the strop and thinly sliced the strop. I cursed and brushed off the piece and kept going. Razor flipped again and gouged the same spot! Hadn't been that careless in years. Even thought I knew I could repair the gouge (which I did the next day) it really bugged me the whole freakin day thinking about the damage until I was able to do the repair. Talk about obssesed.

Scarguard
Do a Yahoo search for Scarguard. It's a hydrocortisone-based healing wonder. It prevents new scars and even helps old scars disappear. A Feather user should have this stuff. I cut myself with the Feather on Monday across my chin and the Scarguard is in use!! It's not cheap but it works. It's a well-respected product in the medical field.
I've really learned to master the Feather by using a light touch. Monday's cut was due to a momentary lapse of concentration, really!!

hahaha when I started out I used to cut myself because my blades WEREN'T SHARP enough. Pakistani and after that a hone that wasn't fine enough. I'm glad I persevered though. I turned something I hated into something I actually look forward to. (when my belgian arrived and the razors that I got from X)

Gary,
Sorry to hear about the boo boo. I've learned that you've gotta have the concentration of a surgeon or you'll surely cut yourself. I've cut myself enough times to know that's true. I've never used a Feather though, so I suspect you have to concentrate even more. Hope it heals quickly.
