    Default This just sucks!!!

I've been on this forum for a few weeks now and will sometime soon be buying my first straight razor....but in the meantime I had to go out and buy another disposable razor. What's more is that I actually bought another handle with the blades because it's cheaper to buy the handle with 2 cartridges then to buy a pack of cartridges alone. Straight razors are looking better and better all the time.

Thanks for letting me rant guys,
    Brock

    Disposable tossables have their place.

Hunt the BiC yellow handle tossables. The TSA
will let you take them traveling. They have a large
gap to wash stubble out. The single blade
treats your face as close to the same as
a straight or DE as any blade out there.

    They are inexpensive.

I mention them because eventually you will send
your blade out for a honing and will need
a backup that treats your face well enough.
My local market sells them at a price per
that compares with some DE blades on the internet.
and no S&H... This market has Williams
    for $1.29 too.

I recommend them for those changing from
an electric razor to wet shaving.... and
I recommend them if you have a brush and
soap now but are waiting on a strop, razor
    or other kit....

Another great alternative however Now that i think about it they r about the same price that u would pay for a straight here on the classifieds is a DE razor. I bought one before i got a straight to transition from Mach 3 to straight and it really helped, especially with my prep. I still use it in my current rotation especially when im in a rush to get out the door but want to shave.

Hah! When I was first visiting this forum (before getting my first straight), I was on my last cartridge or 2. I ran out of cartridges around the same day I ordered my straight, so I just chucked the handle and patiently waited for my razor to arrive. Good times.
