Thanked: 227Stropage
This didn't really fit into the other sections so I put it here
I am much liking this whole razor self sufficiency thing, and am interested in being as self sufficient as possible, so I am getting on with the cleaning and restoration of old razors, I'm working on the honing, and now I'm considering the creation of a paddle strop of my design...
However. I was looking for some advice, what should I look for in a leather for this project. Do any of you guys have any advice?

Not specifically, but I had Tony Miller make a prototype paddle strop for me that was 3 inches wide. It rocked. For some reaon they didn't sell and he stopped making them. Why there are not more 3 inch wide paddle strops in the world I'll never know, but it is one wicked nice strop.
