    Thumbs up Today's hauls

My birthday was Tuesday (May 16, same as RichZ's), which is excuse enough to buy razors. My son's first birthday was yesterday (May 18), which is excuse enough to start building up his future razor collection. At least that's how I'm justifying it. LOL.

A couple of great finds. Let us know how they turn out.

Yes. And I'm self-imposing a moratorium on razor purchases until I make all of my straights shave-ready. I also need to do some restoration on a couple. When I'm all done, I'll treat myself to more.

Me too. I need to lay off purchasing for a while. It's tough though.

That's a sweety, Ben. The Wolstenholm that Ed sent me for honing was a real comfortable shave, but smoothed out VERY fast on the 8k. You might want to start conservative there. I'd love to find out if that one reacts the same.

I'll tell ya ... this Wostenholm I won a couple weeks ago was sharp enough right outta the box to easily and comfortably take the hair off my arm. I think that the 0.50-micron paste on one of Tony's paddle strops should really help touch up the edge one that one before I bring the blade to my face. Luckily, one of Tony's paddle strops (a four-sided Heirloom Combination) is on its way to me, pre-pasted with 3.0, 1.0, and 0.50 compounds (per his advice).
