Thread: "The Professionals" Straight Shaving

Just watched one of my favorite "under the radar" westerns last night, The Professonals. Great cast with Lee Marvin, Burt Lancaster, Ralph Bellamy, Robert Ryan, Woody Strode, Claudia Cardinale, and Jack Palance. It's kind of a mix of The Dirty Dozen, Big Jake and the Magnificent Seven set in the early 1900's Southwest. Marvin, Lancaster and Strode are way too cool, and Cardinale is gorgeous.

Aside from the recommendation to catch it if you have a chance, there were a couple of Straight Shaving scenes, including Lee Marvin doing a very nice back-handed XTG on his jaw-line ... very smooth ... he looked like he had been doing this all of his life. Burt Lancaster, however, although older, is obviously "acting". His stropping is back-asswards (lifting the razor off the strop, and rotating blade side). He then begins to lather with his brush, but we see no more ... probably for good reason.

I hadn't seen this movie in a long time, and didn't remember that it had a pretty good straight shaving scene.
