As mentioned above, you are likely referring to some manner of "no shave November." It's very common amongst college campuses. I like to acknowledge it by not shaving my chin, but I still shave everything else regularly. Now that I think about it, "no shave November" is equally likely a variation of Movember... Going to have to look into this.

I like the idea of growing one, but trimming it with my straights. Maybe a pencil thin? Just growing a moustache wouldn't draw alot of attention, but an old school pencil thin would....
Who's in with me?

Hi,
We have a Team of fifteen at work registered for the 'Movember' event.
I shaved off my goatee which I have had for the best part of 18 years !
Finally I have shaved my chin & upper lip with a straight
Have fun !
Best regards

Thanked: 11I am actually doing movember.
I am somewhat surprised that more people on this site aren't doing it. I can't remember the exact stat, but i think it is something like more men are struck by prostate cancer and testicular cancer than women are breast cancer...
The way it is supposed to work is that you start out on Nov 1st clean shaven. Then you grow a mustache (mo) for the month. Your mo can't wrap around your mouth (goatee) or touch your side burns (beard).
People can check out people's "mo space" pages on the movember site and rate people's mos and donate money by sponsoring people's mos. It is similar to breast cancer ribbons, but the mustache IS the ribbon.
The money raised goes toward the prostate cancer foundation and LIVESTRONG.
I am registered so if people are looking to register, join a team, or donate, send me a PM. You can also check out the site too at movember.com. Seeing some of the sad mos makes me feel better about mine!

I've had a goatee, neck chops(that came to a point at the adams apple), and a full beard- but never a moustche... might have to try it out...
