Belated Firstish Anniversary
Poking around this new site has made me remember coming to the first new site just after it broke away from Yahoo a year ago. I also remember pestering the members on all kinds of the normal questions that n00bies ask, like 'what does 5/8 mean' 'do I need to learn how to hone' 'what's the point of a paddle strop' 'should I shave with a full hollow or half hollow' ... etc. You guys were great to me then and I really appreciate your advice and opinions. You know who you are, Lynn, Randy, David, Robert, Rich, Joe and more. This is a great community and I hope it stays that way for all the shavers coming up. Happy Anniversary SRP, and thank-you.

X-man, you stole my thunder. Couldn't have said it better myself. A big "thank you" to the generous members here at SRP. My bank account is "only" $1,000 smaller since I started with this hobby in November because of my must-have shaving items. Who says straight shaving is more cost-effective than disposables????
Good luck, God bless.

Congrats X. You were instrumental in really getting me into this lifestyle by spending a good amount of your time tutoring me and getting my first and favourite baby shave ready. My turn is coming up soon
Edit:
I should mind my Ps and Qs some more... Thanks bro

I havent been on the forum that long, but I often try to remember what I spent my time doing before straight razor shaving and this forum...and to tell you the truth I cant remember! I guess it wasnt that memorable. Thanks SRP, and big special thanks to Lynn for really helping me get started! "Happy birthday to you....happy birthday to you....happy birthday SRP...happy birthday to you."

Unfortunately for me when I started shaving this site wasn't up and running yet and I hadn't discovered the other one until after I had started down that steep learning curve and I've got the scars to prove it. There was a time people thought I was a prize fighter (and not a very good one at that). But even now I still have lots to learn and hopefully this site will continue to grow and help others to master the skills more quickly and with less pain so happy Anniversary SRP and thanks to Lynn.
