Buying Aftershaves etc. in Downtown Vancouver
My wife and I will be spending a few days in Vancouver in February. Living in Taiwan, I don't have much access to aftershaves, or else they're rather expensive. I'm reluctant to buy aftershaves over the internet as I can't smell them first. Are there any stores in downtown Vancouver that sell reasonably-priced-yet-decent-quality aftershaves? Right now I'm using TOBS Eton College, but I don't want anything more expensive than that. I'd be very grateful if you could tell me one to two places that may have Pinaud-Clubman, Old Spice, Thayers, Proraso, etc. all together so that I can compare side-by-side.
Thanks.Last edited by SlowRain; 11-25-2010 at 04:19 AM.

I can't think of the name now but I'm sure someone will come along. There is a place there in Vancouver that is a big Plisson distributer right there and I think they sell other shaving gear.

Thanked: 1195Hey SlowRain,
Shoppers Drug Mart carries Proraso products, as well as Old Spice. Pinaud seems to be readily available in the States, hardly at all here in Canada. I do believe some salon supply chains, such as Sally's, may carry the original.
Other than that, try a Google search for Art of Shaving retailers; Last I checked there were a couple in Vancouver and Surrey.

Thank you very much. I knew Old Spice would be pretty easy to track down, but I'm glad to know Shoppers has Proraso too. I worry that some of the other places may be a little pricey for me. Pinaud-Clubman seemed to be within my price range, but too bad about their Canadian availability.

Thanked: 74You'd be surprised at what you can find at a hairdresser supply store, like Sally's Beauty Supply. I got my Pinaud from there.
There isn't one in downtown Van, but looks like there are a couple in Surrey.
