Having worked on an Ortho floor and taking care of knee replacement patients I will +1 the follow the doctors orders. Each doctor does it differently but I know most of my patients were up walking assisted the next day and were out of the Hospital in 2 or 3 days with intensive therapy sessions. I saw most about a month latter and they normally were walking unassisted if they followed their care plans.
good luck with the surgery and hope for a fast recovery.

Hi Dan,
Best of luck with the surgery.
Might be a good excuse to start a restoration project if you have one.
Stuart.
