Are Real Straights Legal in OR?
I know they are in WA (my home state), but very curious about OR, specifically the PDX area. I'm told that there's something of a resurgence in traditional men's grooming there anyway & was wondering something...
Anybody know for sure?
Thanks & Happy Christmas!

I cannot see how a razor would be considered a weapon unless used/carried like one.

for barbers to shave customers with, or other restrictions?
PA,
I think Oregon has about eliminated real shaving. If you can find a barber that will offer shaves, it's with a feather or shavette and a new blade is used each time. Somewhat recently, a regulation requiring the use of a new version of Barbicide is in place. Two barbers told me it eats the metal. So whether the practice is prohibited or not, the hygiene processes take care of the rest. Most have just given up.
I love one of the lines from Murray Rothbard about regulation ALWAYS being about rewarding some group at the expense of others.

Then, it's as I feared: Ignorant lawmakers again.
They claim it's about preventing the spread of AIDS--which lives for 20 seconds MAX outside a human body... Somebody needs to give these pontificating windbags a science lesson...
