Happy New Year everybody.
No resolutions here. My father used to say: "The road to hell is paved with resolutions."Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose. Jean-Baptiste Alphonse Karr.

That's a cookbook I want a copy of!
I like the resolutions!
I'm normally not a resolution guy myself (in fact these might be my first... I can't remember any if they're not)., but this year I felt compelled.
I'm curious as to why people feel the need to discuss their anti-resolution stances here. I bet a thread of its own on the topic would thrive...

I made one resolution about 6 years ago and I've actually stuck with it. Everytime my gas tank get to 1/4 empty I fill it back up. I have made some serious resolutions for myself in this year of 2011 but I will keep them to myself. I will say that I want to do more fishing this year. Happy New Years Gentlemen. -J

Thanked: 983Not really resolutions as such, since I had decided on making some personal changes in about November. However;
I have resolved to start incorporating a basic daily exercise routine into my life to improve my fitness, weight and general health. I'm already seeing some benefits with this one.
I'm trying to maintain a sense of calm as much as I can (this one is difficult because I fire up fairly easily). I'm still working on this one and will be for a long time.
I'm trying to use more etiquette, manners and courtesy in my daily life...You know the stuff the older generations took for granted that seems so lacking in todays society.
I'm trying to be a better Dad for my kids, although I don't think I'm a bad father, I just want to be a better one, but then what father doesn't I suppose.
Thats the main points, I do have other minor personal lifestyle choices I would like to see changes with and I'm striving for those as well.

I have to echo what a few others have said. I am going to try and fish more.
Tho not as extreme. Just at least one weekend a month after ice-out.
My boat only seen water one time 2010. sooooooo sad.
Tight lines everyone
