hiccups on the new board format??
It could be coinkydinks but it seems that since the new board format I've noticed a few odd things happening
1) after I send a pm there is about 5 to 10 minutes or so that I can no longer read the board. Even if I close out my browser and open a new one or clear out the browser cache it still comes up as a blank page for several minutes.
2) If I see a typo or error in my post and go back to edit it, when I press save it takes a while to actually switch back to the post and out of the edit window. just a period of nothing visible happening that seems considerably longer than it should take.
3) I have a sudden unexplained urges for cheezy popcorn.
Anyone else notice anything unusual going on?

Thanked: 0I have noticed that it simply takes longer to open up new pages. Also there are times when I click to go to another page or view a different thread and nothing happens, I am just stuck on that page. I usually have to leave the site, not close my browser, just leave the site and come back.
I haven't noticed anything to do with cheese popcorn but every time I see the board I want Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream.

What you are noticing is the server either busy or not responding. I've had this with the old format all the time. Recently the forums have been off-line quite often due to server or database errors.
I think that SRP popularity is starting to tax the capability of the ISP to provide sufficient level of service. Availability is quite sporadic, sometimes down for up to an hour.
I find the new version of the forum software excellent and a great improvement.
