Do you know if this razor is good? (no pics)
My dad found my great grandpas razor today.
I quote what he wrote me
"It is a "twin" brand. J A Henckels Solingen, Germany. The handle looks like ivory but not sure. Can't find a date but it is very old."
Maybe someone might know something of this Brand and type. I have seen the Henckels brand before and I think its good stuff.
I will be going down to visit him this weekend and maybe I can get some pics to show you. If it is still in good shape is there someone that will clean peoples razors up for them?
Thanks Larry

Henckels in general are great razors but of course it depends in what condition the razor is in. It could be mint and it could be junk.

You will see there cutlery knives everywhere these days, but back in the day this was a top notch brand.

p.s. I think you can date the razors +/- a few years by the match stick men logo?

Henckels have proven (for me, at least) to be the most consistent-honing razors I've ever handled. They hone great, they shave great, and I love them. They're among my favorite brands. If you find one in good condition, you've got a good shaver.
