    Default Got one!!!

I just scored the 5/8 Friodur I've been wanting to get! It's supposed to be in mint condition. It's ebay item 120000485349. I'd apprreciate someone checking it out and letting me know if I was right in getting this one.

    Thanks,
    Tom

From the pics it looks good. Of course you can't tell for sure until it arrives and you examine it for small chips on the edge.

    Default Lucky skunk!

    Greetings Tom,

I have Friodur that’s similar and was worked over by Lynn. The sports car analogy doesn’t come close. This thing is a jet fighter- fast, light, unforgiving. It demands attention and delivers an excellent shave.

Yeah, ya done good. At that price, I wish I had spotted it.

    with envy,
    LG Roy

Looks like it will be a great shaver on the pics. I'll probably look into something similar when I get a regular job. A roundpoint with a fine delicate hollow grind. I already have a 5/8 spike point that matches the description and one more on the way. Good score!

    Yeah,
I bid on it but the better man won. If I hadn't finally got that Red Imperial. I would have given him a run for his money Hee Hee.

    Congratulations,

    Tom,

Looks like a very nice razor. Let us know how it turns out.

Glad you finaly got one now I don't have to feel bad about bidding against you for the next one. It's the last one I'm looking for, for now . I have several to work on and even though I would lilke to have a Wonderedge the price they are going for right now just dosn't seem worth it to me when I all ready have several nice Dubl ducks.

    Ray,

I don't think I'll be going after any more Friodurs in the foreseable future. But I do want to try for a dubl duck.

I found a pretty mint condition Friodure at a flea market in Mobile. $40 Wish I got it now. Just didn't have the spare $$ Though this one was the 7/8 ( pretty sure thats what I saw on the razor)
