I've just had a long google session and all I can say is the web is full of absolute rubbish concerning straight razor care, honing etc..

If some unfortunate does not stumble across SRP he could be in big trouble.

One site suggested that all of their Dovo's come shave ready from the factory and only an occassional stropping will be required. Yeah right.

Another suggested that you should not pay more than $2 for a secondhand straight from any junk shop etc...And for this they should be excellent..What planet does this guy shop on ?.

So newbies beware..this is the place.
