Best Brands?
This may be totally by personal preference but was curious what are the Best or Better brands of razors to buy? I have seen the Wade and Butchers brand to be popular, any others?? What are the brands most of you tend to look for when you want to buy?

I don't have near the experience these guys do, but in my rotation I have:
Hjelstrand (made in Eskilstuna)
Revisor
W&B
Gencos (3 or so)
Pearlduck
Kronpunkt
Dovo
and probably a few others I can't remember right now. Of those, I'd say the revisor is the best shaver I have right now hands down, the W&B and Pearlduck are about neck and neck and the gencos are very close behind. The rest are all very good, but not in those top tiers with the ones I listed.
Each shaves differently and each is a different experience. The difference between the revisor and the bottom of the heap (which would have to be the eskilstuna I'd think, mainly because it's my project honing razor and I'm not that good at it) is noticeable but not enormous. They all shave very well.

I have my eye on a Puma and or a Dubl Duck Wondedge on Ebay right now. Ends in a day so maybe I can get it. I think its in super good shape which will help keep cost down fixing it up.
I want to try and get a pretty nice quality one before I get into the Navy ( 1 month to go) so I don't have to worry later because I don't know what money will be like and time.
I hope I can find me a razor in pretty good shape for around $40 I have one now that is a Monarch. Never seen or heard anyone talk of it.
