Thanked: 2Paris shopping
As you all can tell I am brand new here. I have made a checklist/shopping list of type equipment I should be looking for as a newbie.
I will be in Paris in May (wife won a week long trip) and I was thinking what better souvener than to buy all or some of my equipent from there.
I have read a little about the Thiers-Issard company and am getting excited about finding and buying from there.
A quick recommendation if anyone knows any specific stores in/around Paris where they sell this brand.
Also if any of you think I am going over my head with this brand as my first blade let me know, maybe buying a brush or scuttle from there instead would be the way to go.

Planet Raisor sells Martin de Candre. Do yourself a favor and pick up a jar of their shave soap. For that matter, pick me up a jar!
Wonderful soap!!!

I was in paris last august. There is a store in the montmare district that sells razors and other shave gear. I think it is the store you posted about.
I meant to check it out but was too busy with site seeing. If you go to that area check out the moulin rouge as well as sacre coure cathedral it's beautiful.
Also how far are you from Athens? It's been a while since I've been back and wonder if there are any good shave shops.Shaving_story on Instagram

screw the razors and soap. spend the money on three star michelin food. that's what i'd do. but i'm a dope when it comes to travel. spent a week in london and the only good thing i had to eat was a very expensive cheese and charcuterie plate at harrod's and the the roasted bone marrow bones at st john looked like sperm and snot.

Thanked: 2Thanks for all the advice.
Unfortunately from Athens I'm pretty much as far as you basil I live just down the 401 in Kitchener. We spent last September in Athens and area. As for a good shave I wouldnt know as I am a really new to this. I can get a hold of cousins and uncles and ask, not sure if they will know.
Cheers
