Thread: Moving to Tennessee

If I put this in the wrong spot I am sorry and please move it to the correct location.

It apears that the Mrs. and I will be moving to Tennessee in the next month or so. Do any of you fine brothers of the blade live in Tennessee? Arte there any good places to grab shave stuffs there?

I still have yet to start straight razor shaving as that I am looking for a hands on mentor so to speak.

We will be moving to the knoxville seviervlle area or there abouts

You lucky dog! East Tennessee is one of the most beautiful parts of the country - the Smokey Mountains, clear cold mountain lakes,... I went to college at UT, but graduated long ago (1984) and wasn't straight shaving back then. There is a Crabtree & Evelyn store at West Towne Mall that I purchased soaps and creams from during a visit last fall. I don't know anything about antique stores, etc. for hunting for razors.

We have a member or two in the Knoxville area. One of them has the user name "Misunderstood". I'm drawing a blank on the other one's name but will let you know if I remember.

BTW, I'm a native Memphian, but have lived in Alabama since 2002. Tennessee is great state!

I live in maryville it is very close to knoxville and severville I am just learning but would love to chat when you get here (if I havent killed myself shaving)

I live right outside nashville I know there is one or two stores in the malls around here to get soaps but sure about razors, haven't looked in any of the antique stores but we have a few of those.
