My son & I are going to Normandy, France on Saturday. In preparation for the trip, we are watching everything WWII/Operation Overlord related that we can. We were watching some old War Department films there was a quick spot showing a guy getting a straight shave from a barber.

There is nothing wrong with pointing it out. heck I even try to figure out brands and models of items.
My wife hates it when I analyze their technique, like in the original Adams family movie when she was shaving Fester's head she was using a scraping motion with the blade instead of cutting.
The best technique I have seen was in the old Gerlad McBoing Boing cartoons when the father was shaving with a straight he was even stretching the skin and making a stroke that is possible and regularly used.
