Thanked: 0Cheap find of the week?
I honed up a Genco ive had lying around for a few weeks the other day and to my shock and amazement its become my favourite razor. So off ive gone to hunt down a partner to my new friend and ive found this:
Genco
Any comments, something ive missed (apart from the obvious fact that its an 'antique' and 'very sharp'). From what i can see it looks to be in good condition and if it shaves as well as my current Genco it should do the trick nicely.
Another ive spied is this one:
Adam and Eve
Nice looking razor, nice looking condition. Worth spending a few bob on? Oh and its REAL IVORY!

Thanked: 324That's a nice looking razor, but it's not real ivory. It's "French ivory", otherwise known as "celluloid". Don't let that discourage you if the price is right because it's a very nice razor.

I have one genco and so far have only shaved with it once. What a shave! I'm still testing out some other razors, but if the genco always shaves as well as it did the first time, it will certainly be at (or very near) the top of my list of shavers.

That Genco looks pretty nice. It looks like it might have an ever-so-slight frown to it but it may just be the photo. Even if it does, it won't be an issue. Go for it.

Guys you missed an Aevos that went for $29 yesterday. They are great razors and I highly recommend them. My wife will kill me if I come in with another razor.
