Thread: A good find? No pics though....

I found this W&B in the flea market today for $35. I looked it over and it only has some tarnish? on it not even rust really or maybe it is rust but extremely light. Looks more like discoloration. The scales are crap though but I planned to get new ones put on anyway so that made no difference. I saw No chips and No cracks.

Looks like all it needs is a bit of elbow grease, new scales, and Lynns skills and it should be ready.

BTW the razor style was like this one...

It has etching on the razor that says "The Celebrated Hollow Ground Razor with 3 different symbols under all that. An Arrow, a Circle with B inside, and that cross thing.
It came with the original box.


I went to 4 different Flea Markets today and most everything else was crap or way to expensive. So I had to go back and grab it.

It's probably one of those almost-wedge hollow-grounds (1/16 ? ), I've got one of those myself. Not quite shave-ready, to say the least. But grear potential, there's another thread about how nice these are.

Don't be afraid to haggle if the sellers demand too much. If you're firm, they will get soft. And if not, ask them, when they think the next guy who's interested in straights is gonna come around...
