A Special Thank You to the SRP Community - and to Also Bill and Xman
In response to Bills giveaway and Xman’s Thank you note:
X you deserve it...I actually think you have the highest post count, not that it matters but it is a testament to your involvement and dedication. I as well as many others have learned from your posts.
On a side note, I am honored that someone of your shaving caliber would ever think of us (me) while shaving. It may sound silly, but it’s nice to know that you (I, us) have had any sort of impact on anyone's life in this community.
In Response to Bill's giveaway:
Bill is unbelievable in his talent and his generosity; I cannot thank him enough for this. While I did not win, this contest helped to further solidify the bond that we share as friends, brothers, and family. This is not just a spot on the internet, this is a community, and a strong one at that, but now Bill has helped to make it just that much stronger.
Thanks again to Bill, X for the wonderful thank you, and of course Lynn for all his patriarchy and site dedication.
Also, thank you azjoe, you really helped make this event possible this week. Without having resolved the site issues we had earlier this week I am sure this drawing would not have been as fun as it was, and may possibly have been delayed.
In response to all SRP Memebers:
Thank you to all for making this a fun and memorable Sunday night. You guys are the best, I really feel like I have a group of very close friends. This may just be an informational site for a few, but for someone like me who travels so much, and lacks solid friendships within my own community do to my lack of a presence, you all impact my life more than you know. You all make me feel at home no matter where I am, even if it’s some cold hotel room. My wife wonders why I smile so much when I am online, and it is because all of you. Sure, I have good friends scattered all over the states, but its not often I interact with them. You are family, you are friends, and I thank you for all the laughs, smiles, and fun you bring to my life, I really cannot thank you enough.
I can't say it enough, You guys are the best!
Warmest Regards,
Josh

I'll join in with your praise, Josh. X truly deserved it. He was the one who got my Taylor shave-ready, while the scars from the Pakistani were still fresh on my face and it took a while. He also helped a whole bunch of other rookies and is a top class guy overall. There are others who also deserve it, and I'll give Nenad a special mention as he contributed a lot with his help files and participation in the forums, but there are so many others that this decision must have been extremely difficult. Then we have guys like Tony Miller, Lynn and ofcourse Bill, who are always willing to help us out without lifting their noses at our sometimes stupid questions. Ok, I don't want to write a novel, so I'll thank the whole community for being there for me
Edit: Even though many other people deserve my gratitude and praise, I just wanted to give Randy & Ed a special mention as well. There's Alex too.. Ok enough, I promiseLast edited by FiReSTaRT; 07-17-2006 at 05:12 PM.

Josh,
Thanks for that post. It did make me remember that you guys are truely some good friends. Whenever my wife teases me about my straight razor buddies I remind her of all the birthday wishes I received in May and she just quiets down right away. This is the only group I belong to and I always will. In addition it is my goal to get the group to shave au natural..

Thanked: 0I've already done it Rich. Gives a whole new meaning to being "focused". But you haven't got a convert just yet.

I tried it too. It terrified me. I quickly wrapped a towel around myself and waited for the tremors to die down before picking my razor up again

Thanks, Josh
Thanks everyone. I can't deserve this any more than the rest of you do just because I can outblab Rich (Did I just ironically coin an apropos verb? The proof is in the puddin' baby), but I'm sure tickled that I did win. I'll do my best to pay for it forward in kindness.
I also feel this is a great place to hang out as I've said before and no doubt will again. We all make this place a special environment and as long as we can continue to do so I'm confident it will thrive.
