Thread: north jersey wet shaving shops

hi everyone,

first of all i just wanted to say that i joined this forum a few days ago and i already love it. everyone provides great and quick advice. everyone question i have had so far has been answered in full detail either in the wiki pages or past threads.
i don't have much shaving equipment, but everything i have gotten i've ordered online and paid shipping. i just got into straight shaving a month or so ago, and i'm trying to find some stores around me that sell an array of brands of soaps, creams, aftershaves, brushes, razors, etc. the only store i've heard of is the art of shaving, but they don't really have any variety.
does anyone from northern new jersey know of any good wet shaving stores anywhere in the area, even in nyc?
ALSO i go to school in fairfield, connecticut, so if anyone knows of any shops up in that area to contribute that would be great.

Hello and welcome to the forums. I too am from northern jersey, sadly though, i have not come across any shops worth going to in our area. I have found that the best selections and customer service to be from the online shops. There are many good, reputable ones that you will read about around here, some even advertise here as you will see. Many shops even offer free shipping and honing on new razors. If i can be of any help, please let me know.

thanks for the input, but that's upsetting that there aren't any stores in the area. i would like to be able to see things before purchasing them, unlike shopping online. but i guess i'll just have to deal with it haha.
if anyone else from the area, or even from CT or NYC can offer anything please feel free.
