shorter razors
Question about razor length:
I'm a smaller guy. 3" or so blade length seems to be standard. They reach across a good part of my face into "areas" other than I'm trying to shave and I think a shorter blade might work out better for me. The Henckels I got form Lynn is slightly shorter than my other razors and works well in this respect.
Are there any other models that are made shorter than 3"? Thanks.

My two Filarmonica 6/8s seem shorter than most.

i have a 2.5 inch square point made by "finedge co". got it off ebay, cleaned it, honed it and it shaves like a dove. its definitely noticably shorter then my normal 3incher especially when trying to get into places i use the heel of the blade to get, i don't end up hitting the tip on my face.
feels great using shorter blade and its noticable. but i have found that for me i don't like the 4/8 smaller blades but thats measuring in a different direction
so they are definitely out there.

There are some smaller models like the Double Duck dwarf which is a little shorter but 3 inches is pretty standard in straights with some departure from model and maker. I have a japanese straight which is about 2 inches but it has its disadvantages.

I had a W&B that was a little shorter too. About 2 3/4".

Thanked: 346I've got a 9/16 Neistrom that's 2 3/4 long. Nimble, wicked sharp little razor.

That's one of the reasons I like the Bismarck. It's a bit shorter than my other razors so it's better for tight-quarters maneuvering.
