Thread: Had to brag..

I have one genco; and, I'm sure I mentioned to you about how sweet it is while you were over. Out of all the blades I've honed up so far (which, however, isn't too many) the genco took by far the keenest edge. It is scary sharp.

I'm always keeping my eyes open for genco's. I'd like to snag another one just to see if they're all as good as the one I have. I came across the same auction you won in my ocassional ebay rummaging, but held off when I saw your name. Nice catch btw, and for that condition, a very nice price.

Thanks Jason. I was thinking it was gonna go higher, so my bid was more of a "what the heck" kinda thing. Now I can't wait for my job to be done, so I can dedicate some time to polishing the Genco/Tonsorial/W&B and working on the scales (got the blanks from Nenad and I want to try making cocobolo scales for the W&B). I'll have to search out the forums for the link to your dremel drum trick as I'll be doing a whole lotta sanding lol.

Just an update... It arrived this morning and there was virtually ZERO hone-wear. Can't wait for my flap-wheels to arrive so I can give her a polish, a quick hone and put her into my rotation.
