At what rate do you earn rewards? Discovercard earns at 1% or most purchases and at 5% or certain purchases. At 1%, one would need to spend $63,500 to accrue $635 for the razor - how does that compare to the Citibank card?

The razor costs about 80,000 points, and I already have 30,000. The give a certain base number of points per month for having a checking account, using direct deposit, paying bills online, etc. I don't have a Citibank credit card, but I do have everything else. For debit card use that requires my signature, they award 1 point per every $2 spent. Some things are 1 to 1, others are 3 to 1. Last month I got about 5,000 points, but I've been paying for work on the house, so this is above average. Since all the costs of running my life go through this debit card, they seem to be accruing mighty fast.

Yeah, it's not bad. I'm not saying it's cost effective dollar per dollar at all, but this is money I've been spending for years, and now all of a sudden part of it's coming back.
