Thread: My shave of the week

Howdy,

I want to tell you of an amazing shave I had, not because it was a particularly great shave, just a memerable one.

I was away for the weekend with the better half and her little girl, it's the first time i've went away with the little one so somewhat of a milestone in itself.

So we got to our destination, where it seemed prudent to unpack, so I had asked the good lady to bring the strop and razor I leave at her house, and the little one has shown a great interest in this strop for some odd reason... So I was unpacking my brush and soap and other such things when her little girl asked what they where for, so I explained to her that the brush was for making lather with the soap, her being four and very curious instantly decided this would be fun to try, so i had her at the sink soaking the brush and mushing it into the soap then making some lather on her hand, which she found to be great fun.

So the next morning i was getting ready after my shower and decided I should probably shave, so I went to the kitchen to get a bowl to make lather and asked my good lady where she had put my razor as I wished to shave, straight away the little one decides she wants to help, so she was standing in the bathroom mushing the brush in the soap, then whipping it around in the bowl which was great fun for all, then she decided she wanted to stand and ask questions, so between strokes i had to answer to what I was doing lol. Then between passes she wanted to put the lather on, so I a grown man am crouching at the height of a four year old having my face painted lol. Then came the necessary sniffing of the aftershave and aftershave balm to see if she liked it lol.

Now as I mentioned, not an amazing shave, but a great fun experience, that managed to keep a little one amused for a good half hour, and definately memorable.

What a fun story, Geek. My kids love to help Daddy as well. Sometimes I let them use a Parker (without a blade of course!) and a spare brush, and we all shave together. It’s a lot of fun.
