Thanked: 1oh oh!
When doing the last pass on my pre-shave stropping this morning the razor slipped and clattered to my tile floor. Man talk about an edge breaker! while not chipped the edge is about as straight as a stepped on snake now. looks like its time to take this razor back to the hones.
if this every happens to anyone else, DO NOT try to catch the razor before hitting the floor, repair an edge is much easier than repairing tendons.

Thanked: 346rules of SR shaving:
1) don't try to catch it
2) wear pants (see 1)
3) wear shoes (see 1)
4) take a "before" photo, just in case

If you aren't wearing anything, you will be much more careful, which will in turn lead to not damaging your blade. That logic makes sense, no?

I haven't heard from anybody here who shaves in the shower.
There are numerous problems with this:
1. You need a mirror, and while one for the shower (non-fogging up!) can be bought, it just adds to the clutter and there are potential lighting issues as well.
2. Your hands tend to be wet in the shower. This is not a good thing because the one holding the razor will have a slippery grip and the other one will have a hard time stretching the skin. And forget about horn scales and such because they will get wet.
3. A straight shave takes some time. do you want to stay in the shower for 20 extra minutes and waste water, or turn off the water and enjoy the cool air ?

However, it would vastly decrease health care cost for those people.
So thumbs up from me!

I never shave without a thick towel on...not willing to risk the important parts...still worry about my toes somtimes...but at least I have 10 of them....I could live if I lost a few....
