Thanked: 9What's your fav SE and why?
I thought you might enjoy answering this, and it might help me select my next (can I hope - last) razor purchase(s)
Please, include pics if possible. And submit a list of multiple razors, if you would like to.
Cheers
Ivo

That is funny.. Well I have two razors but one is only shave ready I believe, but haven't tried it yet..
And for you to say this will be your last purchase well that is just funny. If you are on this site i think you will be a lifer and also have many razors to come your way.. I can already see that my collection will be growing already as I try to find some for my uncle to put new scales on.

I have several nice razors. I have a revisor, an ullendahl, a W&B, and a dubl duck that are all top notch shavers.
However, honestly, my two favorite razors are my black king 5/8 spike and my 4/8 genco spike. Both American made, neither of them have the flash of the above list, but between these two I get consistently amazing shaves, the edge touches up very quickly and they are just absolutely amazing to shave with. My second string is probably the above list.
The genco is the one with the black scales, fourth from the left on the bottom row. The black king is the one with the brown marbled scales, third from the right on the bottom row:

Ivo,
Sorry no pictures but here are may 3 favorite razors.
6/8 Genco spike
6/8 Morley spike
the toss up for #3
5/8 Case spike
5/8 Wilbert Autocrat round point.
Nothing big and fancy here nor expensive.
But they get the job done as do the rest
of my razors. Could I ask for anymore than
that?

I've given up trying to answer that question. I have too many that I really like. It would be easier asking which razors in your collection do you like the least. And since you didn't ask that I won't answer it.

Thanked: 2209I asked a similar question a few years ago. John Crowley of www.shavingshop.com answered with the most appropriate response.

X being mean and evil by showing off his B.E. masterpiece again lol. In my case it's Taylor's Eye Witness 6/8.
Doesn't look like much but it shaves better than anything else I've got and I do have some big names in my rotation.Last edited by FiReSTaRT; 08-24-2006 at 03:19 PM.
