Nice one. I have a 3/8 Dorko and the smaller blades handle like a sports car.
    Enjoy.

I had a watch on that but it was more than I can spend at the moment. Beautiful razor. Congrats!

You can never go wrong with a razor like that.

How many of you guys use small blades routinely? From my experience with lighter vs. heavier razors and 5/8 vs 7/8, I would think a 3/8 would make for a difficult shave. Do you use it for the whole shave, or just around the moustache/chin areas?

I have a 3/8 Dorko in my rotation which I use over my whole face. Works great.

I hope to use it for the moustache area. If it works out for the whole shave that'll be fine too. If it doesn't work for me at all, I'll put it on e-Bay and see where RAD takes me next.

BTW I'm new to all this and have no idea what brands were better than others. I like the PUMA name for reasons that will make sense to no one other than me. Similarly, I know I'd like a German blade better than another one even if some metallurgical scientist could prove 100 ways why another blade is better.

I'm getting the same close shave now after a week that I got with my Gillette 3 blade cartridge razor. It does take about twice as long to shave with a straight as it did before and I have to be awake fully. I didn't buy a straight razor for any practical reason. I don't like the PUMA's for any practical reason either.

    Cheers!

You may not have purchased that PUMA for any practical reason, but I can assure you that once you shave with it, you will have a truely objective reason for never wanting to part with it. They are wonderful shavers!
