Thanked: 2Shaving shop NYC?
I'm moving to NYC soon, and I was wondering if anyone knows any good shops in the city for straight razor equipment?

There are a few AOS stores in the city. I know there is at least one knife place where you can buy Naniwa hones, but I don't remember which. I'm sure one of the locals will post soon, though.

And for soaps, creams and after shaves there is Pasteur's. Saw a post with pics of their shaving aisle and they had an incredible selection.

In addition to Pasteurs, Cambridge Chemists is a great place for wet shaving stuff. Expensive, but they used to do a ten percent discount if you mentioned that you are a member of an online shaving forum. They also used to discount for cash. I haven't been there in a few years so my info might be off re:discounts. Do a search... I'm pretty sure there was a thread or two about Manhattan shaving destinations a couple of yrs ago.

Yeah, I stopped by cambridgechemists on Lexington few months ago and they had few straight razors and strops on the window, Dovo for sure, and may be something else.
The had the usual culprits for general shaving supplies - TOBS, trumpers, harris, castle forbes, may be baxter, though you can find those in many other places like c.o.bigelow too.
