Default The French meaning of 69

Anyone know the meaning of the 69 designation on many Thiers Issard razors?

Sorry, I have no idea! I have a feeling that if you stay on top of this thread, someone will get to the bottom of it.

TI's are often using numbers in their mark. I don't know much about the 69 other then I believe they started using it in 1920. Look here Les Marques des Couteaux de THIERS

I don't know, but your question reminds me of the time I owned a store and was waiting on a customer, when my 10 year old daughter asked me, "Dad, what's 69"? She's 32 now and I'm hoping she still doesn't know. (Sorry, off-topic).

Ahh! So it's a French cutlers registry mark.

    Thanks
