Straight razors = illegal?
so I made a post on another forum about a straight razor and small hone/small strop going into a long-term survival kit due to Hygiene being a necessary part of sanity and sanity being a part of survival.
I also mentioned that a straight razor can be used for surgery if needed, and you can use it to shave the area to prep.
someone linked to this: CountyComm - Pocket Straight Razor Survival Tool and way at the bottom, there is a disclaimer that says, "We will not knowingly ship to locations where straight razors are prohibited," implying that they are prohibited in some locales.
Where are they illegal?

I would be careful about bringing one on a military installation, personally.

It might be the kind of thing where you would have to check local ordinances. Another thing to consider is how you store and carry it. If it was a straight razor with a brush, tub of cream, or puck of soap, and maybe a paddle strop, all together as a kit, a law enforcement officer would look at it more favorably than if you had a straight razor stuck in your pocket.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

As a disclaimer it doesn't imply that straight are prohibited anywhere per se, more likely it is a disclaimer advising that the vendor does not know if straights are legal in certain states or countries, in an attempt to avoid liability should this be the case and a return charge is accumulated or the razor is appropriated.
Alternatively, it is present in to avoid liability for supervening illegality.
