Thanked: 3Millions of guys can't be wrong
I had to stop by walmart yesterday to get some stuff for allergies and as I was walking back toward the front, something caught my eyes. I took a closer look at section of Gillette Pro Glide cartridge razors, and a part of their advertisement said "Millions of guys can't be wrong". I just started laughing. My first thought was "Millions of guys just got suckered".

Or millions of guys are unaware of alternatives?

Thanked: 1185Or millions of guys have been conditioned through expansived marketing campaigns to fear the alternatives. I gave a guy at work a Fat Handle Tech (probably one of the mildest DE razors on the planet) that was probably six months ago. To date he has not shaved with it because he's "scared he'll cut his face off. Straights are a whole other issue. We've all been there, mention you shave with a straight and you automatically get the "you'll shoot your eye out" speech.
The older I get, the better I was

Thanked: 1195"Millions of guys can't be wrong...."
Sure they can!
But on the other hand the vast majority of men don't care about shaving to the degree that we do. They just want a quick shave and then bolt out the door. And if they're happy with their shaves, and paying nearly $5 for a cartridge, so be it.

Anyone who paid attention to the financial crisis of 2008-present(?) will know 100's of millions of guys can be wrong. And usually are!

It's just shaving. It is not a big deal to most, a mundane routine that gets little thought other than the minute or so spent enduring the chore. People here see it and all its ancillaries delightful.
There is no right or wrong. I think I could get a good shave out of a Gilette. But I know I can get better out of a straight.
