Ever heard of an Allison?
I got a razor on eBay a few weeks ago from a seller who mentioned SRP in the listing. It's marked W. Allison Cutler, Church Street, York. The razor has bone scales and is a 6/8 almost-wedge. (The blade is just slightly concave.)
Has anyone heard of this brand? Is the steel likely to be good?
I'm wondering about it after a member examined the razor I'd been trying to hone and determined that the steel is only so-so.

Dont' forget, Allison also partnered with Chalmers and made Allison-Chalmer farm tractors. (My father-in-law grew up farming)

Urlebird,
Send me a PM with the details and I'll pass it by the minister for war and finance (the wife). she just can't understand why I've been shaving with a straight for only 2 months and already have 8 razors
