A very tough beard? Then IMHO the 4/8 wedge would be much better. Tough beards like stiff grinds.

You've correctly identified your desire, you're looking for your next razor, not your other razor.

I'm going to assume your avatar is your current solo and that it's a wedge Depew and not a full hollow. For that reason I say don't get either of them. That Inox is very similar to what you've got going on already and I'd be looking to broaden my horizons if I were you. Sure that, 5/8 Silver Steel is a pretty sweet razor man, I was eyeing that one for long time myself. Truth is though, 5/8 full hollow grounds are like rice in China and $80 would be a bit steep for my next unless I was REAL horny for that particular razor. If you really want a 5/8, I'd say get one from a member.

Of course a wedge like that 4/8 Inox would probably work better for you than the full hollow and although it would likely be more challenging to hone, it would also hold that edge for a longer while being both a wedge and SS.

I'd also say, listen to some of the other advice here and lean toward a larger blade. If you can't do that now, keep it in mind for your third or so.

Anyway, that's my 2¢, but as they say in Serbia ... To each his own.

Ha ha funny X Actually the reason they use that expression is because it rhymes in Serbian. Hoever, if I were you, I'd forget all about Slavic languages, and focus on Spanish

I have em all and like others have said they are all equally fine. I would start with a 5/8s or 6/8s and either go up or down from there depending on what you think you would like next. As they say sharp is sharp so you can get an equally great shave from a 4/8 as with an 8/8s. Size and things like scale material and blade decorations are just icing on the cake. remember a chevy will get you where you want to go as quickly and as comfortably as a mercedes benz.
