    If I remember another thread correctly, these should be OK starter blades, but nothing to write home about. The main appeal is that they're new.

    Usually when I see an inexpensive item marked as having "surgical steel", I stay the hell away. Low priced items that use "surgical steel" are usually 420 J2 stainless, and more often than not, have crap heat treatment. The steels usually ends up as soft as butter and can't hold, let alone attain any sort of edge.
